Students from within the association participated in the course that was held in Sally Gardens Community Centre on Thursday 21st September 2006 from 7-9. This included students who were as young as 5 and others who went up as old as time itself (only joking Gerry, Ceara, Stiofan)
The course covered all aspects of the syllabus for the respective grades combined with pad work. Focus was paid to basics, combinations, and two man routines. Attentions to detail on stances, correct hip position on execution of technique, zanshin, and trying to instil the attitude of continuous improvement were stressed whereby each technique is trying to be bettered by the next that followed.
Those who are going for orange belt (7th kyu) and above MUST attend the kata course as well.
Congratulations to all who attended to make the course the success that it was.
See some of you on the 26th October for the kata course.
Thanks
Eric
